How to Become a Shriner

1. Become a Mason

  • Join a Masonic Lodge: You must first be a member of the Freemasons. This involves:

    • Meeting eligibility requirements (usually age and belief in a Supreme Being).

    • Completing the initiation process through the three degrees of Masonry.

2. Join our Shrine Center and submit your petition here

  • Express Interest: After becoming a Master Mason, you can express your interest in joining the Shriners.

  • Application: Fill out an application to join a local Shrine Chapter.

  • Recommendation: Obtain recommendations from current Shriner members.

3. Attend an Orientation

  • Learn About the Organization: Attend an orientation session to understand the values, mission, and activities of the Shriners.

4. Pay Dues

  • Membership Fees: Pay any required membership fees or dues to join the Shrine.

5. Participate in Initiation

  • Ceremonial Initiation: Attend and participate in an initiation ceremony to officially become a Shriner.
